Wideband magnetic losses and their interpretation in HGO steel sheets

چکیده
The magnetic properties of high-permeability grain-oriented (HGO) Fe-Si sheets have been investigated in the frequency range 1 Hz-10 kHz, with attention devoted to role thickness on behavior losses and phenomenology skin effect. study is focused wideband response 0.174 mm 0.289 thick sheets, comparatively tested at peak polarization values ranging between 0.25 T 1.7 T. experiments associate fluxmetric measurements direct Kerr observations dynamics domain walls. A picture magnetization process comes light, where flux reversal takes hold under increasing frequencies through motion increasingly bowed 180° walls, eventually merging sheet surface for a fraction semi-period. This effect can be consistently predicted, starting from Kerr-based knowledge equilibrium wall spacing, by numerical modeling an extended array subjected balanced action applied eddy current fields, elastic reaction model incorporated into general concept loss separation, calculating classical component solution Maxwell’s diffusion equation constitutive law identified normal DC curve. decomposition predict that excess component, playing major these materials power frequencies, tends disappear upper induction-frequency corner.

Magnetic Hysteresis and Barkausen Noise in Plastically Deformed Steel Sheets
The magnetic properties of steels are affected by plastic deformation, because the domain wall processes magnetoelastically interact with the dislocations and the residual stresses. The evolution of the magnetic hysteresis loop and its parameters with the type and degree of straining can thus provide a macroscopic signature of the underlying the mechanical and structural properties. Additional ...
